Description


The Teso (Iteso) are a Nilotic-speaking community primarily found in western Kenya (Busia County) and eastern Uganda. They trace their ancestry to the Ateker cluster and organize socially through patrilineal clans that regulate kinship, inheritance, and marriage alliances.
